Because I’ve been too lazy lately to come up with an official “About” entry, I’m just going to post random about-type things until I decide to not be lazy and elaborate on them and someday come up with something real. Don’t hold your breath.

I'm Kim.

I grew up in Utah.

I'm married to Dan who also grew up in Utah.

We've been together since 1993.

We got married in 2001.

In 2004, we moved to Northern Virginia.

In 2005, we had a momentary lapse of sanity and got pregnant.

The Demon-Angel-Monkey-Baby was born in June, 2006. She was a little over a month early. No one will ever forgive her me someone for that.

We started this site shortly after moving to VA to keep our friends and family in the loop of our lives. That was back when we had lives.

We also started the site as somewhere for both of us to write. As you can see, Dan flaked on me and now it's just mine. Which is very unfortunate for you because he's such a better writer, storyteller, explainer, etc., etc.

No, I didn’t pick the name here. (Remember, we were supposed to share?) He did. No, it wasn’t at the top of my list for “Things I want to call my blog.” It wasn’t even on it. Don’t ask me what it means or how it pertains to me, it doesn’t. That’s his thing. Ask him.

In real life, I cuss like a madwoman. But since this place has morphed into baby central, I realize our families pay much too close attention and I try to be a little less potty-mouthed. Sometimes that really sucks.

Like I said, this wasn't meant to become baby central but it's such an easy way to let the families feel like they're involved when they're so totally not because they all live a million trillion freaking miles away since they can't be here firsthand.

And other randomness...

I tend to like really bad movies. Not because I think they’re good or even enjoyable but because they make good background noise and are completely mindless. I don’t have to invest emotion or energy or thought into them. (Those are the movies I love and can only watch once or twice. Unlike the bad movies that I can play over and over and over and over because I don’t have to pay any attention whatsoever.)
